Once again their is a great news for every indian,now its the time for indian football team that clinched the AFC Challenge Cup title for the first time by thrashing defending champion Tajikistan 4-1 at the Ambedkar Stadium on Wednesday.Its really a great and exciting news after the Abhinav Bindra’s gold medal news.From the indian side, the indian football star Sunil Chhetri fired a hat-trick while skipper Bhaichung Bhutia struck the other goal in the 19th minute, sending the around 13,000 spectators in the Ambedkar stadium into a frenzy.On the other hand Tajikistan was also succeeded in made a goal but that is not to much for defeating the Indians.

The all players of Indian Football team gave total credit of this success to their coach Bob Houghton.Bob Houghton, an English football manager and former player, was appointed head coach of India in June 2006 by the All India Football Federation. His appointment saw a general progress in India’s performances as India win the Nehru Cup in August 2007. Instead of this India suffered a huge loss when Maldives defeated them at the final of SAFF Championship 2008.As i want to told you this is the same place where India tasted success last year,in the form of Nehru Cup.
India qualifies for the Asia Cup 2011
At Ambedkar Stadium,their was an atmosphere like carnival that brought memories of last August’s enthusiastic support during the Nehru Cup final in which India defeated Syria 1-0.On wednesday,at stadium,the two main stands of the stadium were almost filled while the other two smaller ones had also sizeable crowd. Youngsters were seen swaying the tri-colour while the Indian players and coach Bob Houghton were lustily cheered when they entered the field.

Now after this great victory Indians proved that it belongs to the elite Asian stage.Now after this India qualifies for the Asia Cup in 2011 at Doha.On this great victory All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi said “I hope this victory will help Indian football to compete with the best in the Asia. We purposefully decided to host this tournament and thanks to the AFC for awarding us the event.”
